Alot of question about my first anime con (yaoi warning)?!

Question: so im going to an anime convention in febuary. My friend is going as Sayu from Blood+ and im going as Misa from death note. is it wierd to go as characters from completely differ ent animes?

Another thing: I've seen videos of yaoi at anime cons. but im wondering if that's only for yaoi cons. For example: can I come up to guys/girls dressed like L and Light (who look like they are together) with my camera and ask them to make out for me? 0_O

and should i normaly hang out with the people who are from my anime? or just anyone in general.

Another: What kind of games do cons have?

Your first expo, cool! Just know that it doesn't matter if your friend is cosplaying from a different series than you; if you cosplay, than you are definitely cool. From experience, I also cosplayed as Misa from DN and my friend was Sora from KH2, but people love taking photos of both of us together. So no worries, there!

It's true that blatant yaoi is most seen at yaoi con, but there are actually a lot of that going on at other cons, too. A lot of yaoi fans will do such things for free, but be sure to ask the right people since there are some that won't enjoy posing for yaoi pictures.

Just hang out with your friends at the con! It's no fun to be with strangers, though you should definitely go to your specific anime series' gathering. There you will meet lots of cosplayers who love the same anime as you, and you guys can pose for as many photos as you want. It's the best way to get awesome group pictures.

Games at cons are slightly different for each con, so be sure to check your con's online website for more information about that.

A tip: if you are cosplaying a cute anime girl like Misa, beware of fanboys/otakus/perverts because they like to use 'taking a photo with you' as an excuse to get super close to you. Just be sure to stay with your group of friends and if a guy is making you uncomfortable, don't hesitate to tell him so. And if he doesn't back off, call a con security guard.

the kissing thing is mostly for yaoi cons but you could ask any ways!!!
you can hang out with who ever you want to but it would look cool to hang out with people from the same anime.
games are like... life size chess, dance,um oh i cant reamber any more but i know there are lots more

Anime Cons are a lot of fun, especially if it's the first one your going to. There is the initial shock factor of all the people dressed up as their favorite anime character, but that feeling will quickly pass and you will fit right in with your costume. If you have a great costume, be expected to pose for a lot of pictures.

Anime cons have a lot to see and do, so it's definitely worth it to go for the whole weekend it's showing. A lot to buy in regards to music, toys, cosplay, dvd, mangas, etc. etc. So I definitely wouldn't wear or carry anything that will slow you down.

Dunno if people will make out for you for a pic. That's a really odd request, but you never know who you might come across. ><

Don't restrict yourself to hangout with the theme of your costume. Honestly, just mingle, you will blend in everywhere because the whole theme of an Anime Con is...Anime...duh!

Some Anime Cons will also have rooms for people to game in. Like PSP, or DSlite, or even RPG games. If the Anime Con is big enough, they will have seperate rooms for this.

Usually the biggest turnout is the day of the Costume contest. As a side note, don't bring a real weapon as part of your costume. Plastic is the way to go.

Have Fun!
