Batman Comics!?!
Question: Hello all,
I want to get into Batman comics to learn his story but I have no idea where to start. Now I know I'm not going to be able to get every Batman comic that's been released over the last 70 years so I was wondering which comics I should start with to get the most complete story. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I was in the same situation a couple years back and totally lost. Aside from keeping up with the new stuff, try some trades like:
Year One and Year Two,
Death in the Family,
A Killing Joke(which is hard to find but is being re-released)
Hush Vol. 1
Red Hood Vols. 1&2, especially good after Death in the Family.
Broken Bat
Knightsfall
Knightsend
No-Man's Land (has 5 volumes)
That's a good place to start. Plus use wikipedia to look stuff up and IGN.com has a comics board that's really helpful.

Wow, that's a tall order. Batman has been around so long that his story has been told, retold, tweaked, and so forth. I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions for comics, including reprints and graphic novels, but this book might give you a good overview to start with:

'Death in the family' might be a good start. Help you understand the grief that batman has to carry with him.
then you should get killing joke, wriiten by Alan moore.
but to kick you into the current batman mythos get
Batman: Year One and then work your way to the long halloween.
