Death note - what happens to light?!


Question: i know he gets shot, but i remeber ryuuk sayin that humans wh use the death note do not die, or live forever, does this suggest light has perhaps become a shinigami himself?

It is not explicitly said or shown that Light will become a shinigami. What we do know is that Light is eventually killed by Ryuk (both in the anime and live-action films). What happens to his soul remains to be anyone's speculation.

    ryuk writes lights name in the death note and kills him
    it's sad.this is in the movie
    so i guess death note isn't a long anime series

    Well no what Light will become a Shinigaim. After he is shot Ryuk writes Light's name in the Death Note. Light will now live in the Shinigaim world forever.
    I think he either became a Shinigami or nothing happened, and he became nothing.
