Answers: if it was because of the low ratings they should have atleast put a good ending

dam those people who took inuyasha off iloved that show

demand in Japan went away, and a disagreement at the Company

it sucks

I beleive you can still read the manga.

InuYasha is first and foremost a Manga (japanese graphic novel).
It is still going strong in this format, it is true that the Japanese got tired of the Anime TV show, so they stopped it abruptly to work on other projects.
If you feel jipped, I highly recommend reading the Manga, it is way better that the Anime anyway!

I didn't see the last episodes, but they were good to end it, it was too long and drawn out. not quite as bad as DBZ, but take fullmetal alchemist or cowboy bebop. they ended at the 51 and 26 episodes, which were perfect considering the storyline for each. inuyasha simply wore out its welcome

I heard the creator died so they just ended it. I know the ending was really bad, but there's talk of a 5th movie to complete the whole thing. I got my info. from a anime magazine I have called Otaku USA.

There are lots of reasons why it got canceled: first, Inuyasha was based off a manga series by Takahashi Rumiko (no, she DIDN'T die) that spans over 50-volumes long. Obviously, no company is going to continue the anime if it drags on for a long time unless it's REALLY popular. The fact that animes like Naruto and Death Note came out and grabbed a lot of fans made the Inuyasha fan base smaller and smaller, meaning less demands and Inuyasha product purchases, leading to insufficient funds and hype on the anime production. So the production team called an end to the Inuyasha project, and the anime ending was inconclusive because during that time, the manga series was still going on in Japan so nobody knows the ending (except for the creator). Therefore they ended it without explaining too much to the fans.

Also, the main reason why the anime ended was because the anime caught up to the manga. This is why a lot of anime series have bad endings since mangas take a longer time to finish, so anime production comes to a pause and later on, a real end because the pause made the popularity of the anime drop. A good example is Naruto, which lost its popularity in Japan because of the huge pause between Naruto anime and Naruto Shippudden anime (it was like, a year?), making its fans lose interest and pursue other anime series instead.

you know I dont know why and I always wondered that same question.

well you can find out how it ends .

just go to:
http://www.onemanga.com/Inuyasha/

because it got really low ratings in japan.
