There was one with an Owl family. The father was a conductor, the three brothers played flute and classical instruments. But one little Owl like sing Jazz- he wore a blue jacket and bow tie. He sang a song that went like this:
"I Love to sing-a
about a moon-a
in a june-a and spring-a
I love to sing-a
About-a tea for two-a
and a sky of blue-a
anything-a with a swing-a
and a I love to -a
I love-a to
I love-a to
sing!"
And his father hated jazz so he tried to make the mother teach him to sing classical music. When he wouldn't do it the father kicked him out and the mother cried.
Later they heard him singing at a talent contest on the Buster bunny show- theyw ere so happy they ran down and brought him home and the father never again judged his singing.
Now I can remember all this- but I can't remember what it is I did yesterday afternoon....hmmmm
There were also two other ones: One with an ariplane father named John and Momma named Mary- they had a son- but he was a jet- and at this time jets were replacing planes in the army- so dad was losing his job. And of course- Dad did not approve that his son was a jet. The son helped him win a race and a government contract.
The otehr was with cars- the father was a taxi adn the son wanted to be a hot rod- of course the father disapproved- but in the end the father saves the son- gets hit by a train adn has to choose to look ilke a cab or a race car. The kid becomes a cab like his old man but retains a hot rod engine.
Apparently there was a writer back then that had daddy issues- regardless- they made great cartoons.

Daffy Duck! He's my favorite.
Foghorn Leghorn is my favorite Looney Tooner too. I particularly like the cartoon that introduces Henry the Chickenhawk (who is tiny compared to Foghorn).
The reason I love Foghorn is that his series used so much verbal humor which balanced out the visual humor nicely.
