I can't help but wonder how an All-Star Squadron cartoon set during World War II would come off. The All Star Squadron included scores of characters, including the entire Seven Soldiers of Victory, everyone who had joined the Justice Society of America by 1942, Superman, Batman, Robin, many genuine golden age heroes and heroines from DC (like Robotman, Johnny Quick, Liberty Belle, Tarantula, Aquaman, and Mr. America), the core of the 1970s Freedom Fighters (Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, Black Condor, the Ray, Doll Man, and the Human Bomb), possibly the entire Marvel Family, and as many as thirty other characters.
Basically, the All-Star Squadron consisted of every mystery man (and mystery woman) who wore a costume in the early days of World War II which is an amazing number of characters; one three-part story started with the first full meeting of the All-Stars, and fifty-six heroes and heroines turned out for the movie (another dozen or so could have been used too). With a cast that potentially large, and a backdrop as vast and interesting as the Second World War the mind boggles at the possibilities, or at least mine does.

My favorite webcomics ... "Narbonic" or "Girl Genius". They count as comic books, since they've been published in print editions as well.
I'd love to see almost anything by Alan Moore, like Watchmen. the new Doom Patrol would also be interesting.
