I collected Batman at one point and can say these few issues are worth something: Batman issues # Batman #368 and #426-429. I'm sure there's more, but these were biggies as they were the first appearances of the Second Robin and his tragic death.
Probably the more popular comics today like Batman, Superman, X-Men even where important events have taken place, a pivotal character has joined or died and stuff like that. It also makes a difference if the issue was over-massed produced. Like the Black bagged issue of Superman where he died. It was produced so much that these days it's hardly worth anything.
