I'm going to agree with Ghost in the Shell, and I'd also definitely recommend Black Lagoon.
Ghost in the Shell is about a futureistic security agency equivalent to modern day SWAT teams. Black Lagoon is about a band of mercenaries who take on odd jobs, killing anyone who tries to start trouble.

full metal alchemist is a lot of fun to watch its like kinda funny to . then there is death note awsome and i think you would enjoy this one a lot more even thoe people die by having their name written down in a note book
