****HELP with RolePlay!!*** (I am not asking you to write one)?!

Question: Today my friend asked me to RP with her (I assume RP means RolePlay)
I am not a good writer, nor have any experience.

How do you write a RolePlay? Is it like a fanfic with more than one author, or are there specifics?

I have to write back for tomorrow and don't want to look stupid.

For RP's do you write for a specific character or what?

What does FTFW mean? She wrote it on the note and I am just curious.

for the ******* win?

otherwise all I can offer is that you have to visualize yourself as said character.

Role-playing is a form of improvisational acting done in the setting of a game.

When you start you will create your own specific character that you will control the action of. A good role-player will be able to act as the character instead of themselves.

The game will be run by a game master or dungeon master. They will narrator the story and control all characters not played by you and the other players. You will have a standardized set of rules that apply to you (a player character) and to the NPC (Non Player Characters). Most games have you use a system of dice rolls to determine the outcome of actions taken by your character.

There are a few things to remember:

1. It isn't real. You are not your character and your character is not you.

2. Try to have fun, don't take it to serious.

3. Good chance that at some point your character will be killed off... Just create a new one.

4. Don't throw dice... other players hate that.

5. Get into the role... You don't need to dress up or actually act out the game, but try to imaging what your character would do in the situation and not yourself.

6. Create flaws in your character and try to work around them just as you would have to in real life. It is only fun to play a super man for a short while.

Have fun... BTW what game are you playing? I started with Robotech back in the olden days... Moved onto D&D after that... After several other games I played Vampire The Masquerade for several years. Even wrote my own game once....
