Cosplay for kids?!

Question: Okay I have two little girls whose feauters would make them great cosplayers! I am good with hair,makeup and crafting, so we could probably pull off something good. Does anyone know any children/hieght challenged anime characters that we could try? They don't have to be female characters, but they should be somewhat well known, or just look really cool :) .

The current top runners/ only runners are :

1. Of course, childhood gaara or any other childhood naruto character.
2. Jio Freed, and whatever that girls name is from Opart hunter. But it's not very likely that I will want to, or *try to* shove some contacts into a 7 year old's eyes.

Sakura and Syaoran- Cardcaptor Sakura
Kisa and Hiro- Fruits Basket
Sho- Whistle!
Risa and Riku Harada- DNAngel (though they're probably supposed to be in middle school)
Ed and Al and/or Winry- FullMetal Alchemist
any of the Angels in Angelic Layer (ex. Hikaru)

though any Naruto character would be good
But I think that if you had even if you had them cosplay as characters who weren't children, they would still look good and be recognizeable

This, like dressing your pets, should just be considered child abuse at this point. Meet the 21st century version of dressing your kid in a sailor suit in Iowa.

How about characters from Petite Princess Yucie??? there is height deprived and cute characters!!! except the character Glenda... Here outfit is kinda inappropriate...

Bleach---->Rukia in shinigami form
Naruto----->Sakura
Shaman King---->Anna Kyōyama
One Piece--->Nami

naruto is a good choice actually..easily recognized....and you have lots of characters to choose from and they can go as a matched pair
don't listen to the first guy...i have nephews that beg for costumes and enjoy dressing up...sometimes my sis has to draw the line

You could try Kisa from Fruits Basket...she looks young but I think she's about seven or eight. And if you aren't against one of them looking like a guy you could do Hiro from Fruits Basket as well. Although I wouldn't tell them Hiro and Kisa are a couple.
You could also try Ichigo's sisters from Bleach...they're faternal twins so they don't look anything like each other.
You could also try any of the characters from Noein.
Or Anemone and Eureka from Eureka Seven.
Young Ed and Al (or Winry) from Fullmetal Alchemist.
Or Ed from Cowboy Bebop.

I think it's cute when kids do the digi-charat characters.

Honey sempai is so sweet
