Fushigi Yugi is really good.It is about a girl and her best friend who get sucked into a book. I know that sounds weird but is good.
the Full Metal Panic is nice. but the FUll metal Panic Second Run is funnier
Neon genesis evangelion is a good one, but I didn't like the ending that much, but you can be the judge of that ^^
The only ones I can think of would be FLCL(Furi Curi/Fooly Cooly) and Samurai Champloo. FLCL is based on action and love, defiantly comedy, with a bit of perverted humor thrown in. Samurai Champloo because it is awesome, It really cannot be described in words.

ouran high school host club is really good!!
Also, you could try Tail of the Moon! Its really funny! Beauty pop is also really good (sorry, i just know so many good ones!!!))

hmm.. Ouran High School Host Club is hillarious, some romancey parts. Its a shoujo, reverseharem. It's one of my favorites and I highly recommend it =]
