Epic Debate: Marvel Or DC, and why?!
Question: Whose comics do you like better, Marvel or DC, and why? Personally, I started out on DC when I was younger, but I like Marvel so much better now because the stories and heroes are so much better.

Marvel is better because not only does it have better characters and more characters, but also because there are more Marvel characters that are recognizable to the mainstream than there are that are DC. When most people think Marvel they think Spiderman, X men, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Captain America, and sometimes the Avengers. When it comes to marvel they think Superman, Batman, Flash, The Joker, and maybe the Justice League. Also I think Marvel is best and it rules. GOOOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAARVELLLLL! EXCELSIOR TO THE LIMIT
Off the top of my head, I'd say Marvel -- I like most of their mainstream characters and flagship books. However, when I'm in the mood for something non-superhero, I am really drawn to DC's Vertigo line. Most of my favorite series are either Vertigo or from Inde companies like Image or Darkhorse.
Marvel tends to have the strongest superhero characters and stories, but DC's alternative works are really, really excellent. So I guess it just depends on what I'm in the mood for at the moment.

While I like both and while I was a devout marvel fan up until a few years back I have to say I like DC more these days. Yeah, they keep having these massive weekly events that last all year but at least they ship reasonably on time, I ike the characters of most of the stories. I also like some of their Wildstorm line.
Marvel, if I didn't still get Cap and the X-Men I'd probably be done with them.

I've always favored Marvel for it's mutants superheroes.
In DC, it's always been the mainstream superheroes like Superman and Batman...
But now I'm more stuck on the indies...
On the other hand, most of the times, I'm more drawn to the book's art. A sucker for that...
I am a true Marvelite,Marvel changed the perspective of comic hero's .Spider man wasn't wealthy like batman,The Fantastic four argued amongst each other,the Hulk was a miss understood hero and finally Daredevil was the first handicapped hero.I do read some DC but not that ofter.And in conclusion the Marvel Universe is around us there stories are set mainly in places that do exist
i feel the opposite way now i always thought marvel had the best stories because the heroes are nothing without good writing but now marvel has jumped the shark too many times and the spiderman thing was the last straw how many stupid storylines are they going to run in a year hulk war,skull invasion the deal with the devil,the poor mutants the civil war the death of america's icon i am sure i left a bunch off when is it too much crap at one time hopefully the scarlet witch will say no more crap and fix everything go back to dc you won't regret it
well they are vbery types. in marvel there is fantastic four and spiderman. they are great stories. my opinion i cant even chose. in dc we have our legendary superman. i mean in marvel we have a lot of movies out for it. In dc we have our legendary tv show smallville which lasted 7 years and still going. the show is about his beging life and how he became our superman. so there is alot of pros and cons.
