well most people in japan don't really believe in god. It's the christian influence. Any anime that doesn't mention god or angels could be considered atheist if you want to get technical.

thats a really general question. Atheists dont believe in gods or those religions. Therefore, any anime not mentioning God could be considered one. And thats a whole lot. Action, bishounen, adventure, the list never ends.
You prob.ly wont find an anime that deals with themes of atheism because each individual will decide what they believe to be the truth
What a question. The Dalai Lama, who admittedly is a Tibetan Buddhist, said "After all, we Buddhists are Atheists." So in that sense any anime heavily influenced by Buddhism such as Dragonball Z may be considered atheist, but honestly, too much materialism is really not entertaining. Read any nonfiction book by L. Sprague DeCamp or as many and as much of The Skeptic Magazine as you can stomach (my tolerance for it is very low). Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials is an entertaining Atheist Childrens Fantasy but as such it is part of a (thankfully) very small group.
