i say yes. Punisher is a marine with weapon trainning, Whereas Batman has more hand to hand combat, as well as ninja training and toys like the batarang, etc
It's a very close call on this one, but given Batman's intelligence level, his combat training exceeds Punisher's Marine experience and skills, and the fact Batman has many weapons and gadgets at his disposal, Batman would have the advantage. However, Punisher has been known to use most any weapon, big or small to cancel Christmas on his opponents, so I have a hard time deciding who would win. I think Bats would pull it off in the end.
Batman could beat the Punisher easily.
I think it would be a pretty balanced fight, if just for the fact that the Punisher has no problem with excessive violence or killing. They're both vigilantes, but the Punisher is much more willing to go further than Batman.
But Batman would still win. His fighting style is more controlled, and he's got millions of dollars worth of equipment.
In issue 2 of Avengers verses the Justice League, Batman and Plastic Man observe the Punisher attacking a warehouse full of criminals with both of his guns blazing. Plastic Man asks if they should move on, only to discover that Batman has entered the warehouse. Later, he comments that Batman spent twenty minutes beating up some loon in Kevlar. So I will say, most definitely.
