Evil older brothers in anime?!
Question: why are older brothers depicted as evil in so many animes?

Anime is all about taking normal everyday things to extremes. It's not rare to see an older brother being antagonistic or mean and pick on their younger sibling. This is taken to the extreme and played upon in many different anime series. They play off of and build up that natural tension and competition between siblings.This definitely doesn't mean that this is ALWAYS the case, though. It just means that there are SOME evil brothers out there. I can name a lot more big brothers who are as nice as can be. Heck, look at the first series on your list- DBZ. Gohan was definitely nice to Goten. I know you didn't say ALL big brothers were like that- but I'm just making sure you don't slip down that path.

I guess cause it makes things more dramatic... and in bleach, Byakuya isn't evil... he actually injures himself to save Rukia in the manga. and i don't really think sesshomaru is evil either, since hes so nice to Rin, but that's just my opinion!! Sorry, hope this helps!!
those are just a few and not all of them have that but i guess it's just a good common theme to follow on.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha fight because, i think that is just what they do.
I have also read that Sesshomaru hate Inuyasha cuz of Inuyasha having the tetsuiaga and of him being half-demon. Sesshomaru also hates humans, other than Rin. He can't be all that bad.
Sasuke hates itachi because Itachi killed their entire clan except for Sasuke. Look for my question about Sasuke, it explains everything.

It's from a lesser known manga called Kamui. It's a very good manga, and I would recommend it to anyone reading this.
Utsuho is the evil older brother.
This is not unusual and it has been done since the days of Speed Racer (Speed and his older brother Racer X) and the first anime version of Astro boy.
After those two first anime shows, it has become some sort of a cliché. Besides, it is kind of dramatic to see if the older brother will turn good or not, or if the younger brother can defeat the older.
