The writer's strike does in fact affect them and so they are spacing out the showing of new episodes so they can continue until they get more written.

Idk, I can't take it much longer either!
You bring up a good point, though...maybe it's the writer's strike. I dunno. I just want my dear Tokka to come back! You know, the relationship between Toph and Sokka- I'm rooting for them! As well as Kataang, of course.
