Who agrees witm me about batman?!

Question: Ok , here are some of my thoughts on batman .Many of u might not agree with me , so i would like u not to insult me and respect my opinion like I respect urs.

here are opinions :
1)who thinks That Ra Al Ghul is bit unrealistic , I mean the part that he lived for more than 1000 years using some pit witth special chmical.Do u think ra al ghul is realistic like batman?

2)Do u think Joker lived reaally long .look , everytime he escapes from jail , he kills atleast some 100 people ( as mentioned in some of comics) . Joker killed few of people who batman loved too.So , my question is how come authorities in gotham just put joker in jail when he is such a mass killer.

Do u think the part about Bruce Wayne's parent's death is becoming too overused.I mean in almost every comic , the part about his parent's death is used. It just becomes too repitative.

You made some valid points but there are also valid counterpoints.

#1- Ra's Al Ghul isn't any more unrealistic than other characters in DC. There have been Immortals in comics and other forms of entertainment for years so why would it be so hard to believe in this mystical pool that keeps him alive? Having a character such as Ra's in thepicture with a little depth(depending on that writer) brings some life into Batman's little rogue's gallery of villains. He's much better than Bane. My only complaint with Ra's in the more recent stuff was the inclusion of Damien which no one can really explain since the graphic novel Son of the Demon was never considered cannon.

#2- The Jokerkeeps getting put in Arkam because he was declared legally insane and therefore is what keeps him from getting killed if whatever state Gotham is in even has a death penalty. Plus, he is one of Batman's main villains so they can't kill him. Also, every good comic has to have the insane mass killer that keeps popping up to give the hero someone to fight. The fact that Joker has done so much personally to hurt Batman just gives Batman an even stronger reason to want to make him stay off the street.

#3- His parents murder is what makes batman who he is. If Thomas and Martha Wayne had never been killed then Bruce would probably have grown up to become the spoiled playboy he pretends to be. Their deaths was the things that sent him on the path to find justice and it's in their memory that he remains Batman. It may be overused to some but it's also the emotional depth thing that keeps Batman going.

Good point(s). I never really thought of it that way before, thanks. Kudos and good question.

I agree with you about Bruce Wayne's orphaning. Used periodically, it can add depth to the character or generate some interesting plot lines, but at a certain point I want to stop focusing on the big background event of the character, and explore some other areas from the background.

In the comic world anything can happen. Here's my opinion:

1) If Ra Al Ghul did found "The Elixir of Life" or "The Fountain of Youth" or a secret technique to keep him from aging than why not?
If you read/watch Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X in the US) there is a gag in the story where Himura Kenshin and his master, Hiko Seijuro, somehow manage to look like they are still 20 years old when actually they are over 40+ or 60+ because they studied the art of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryū (their sword style).

2) Usually Joker uses weapon of mass destruction (poison, gas, chemicals, etc) so killing 100 people is easier than you think. Just drop some poison in the water supply and 'BOOM' thousands of people die.
I think there is nothing wrong with the law in Gotham, all the crazy-lunatic-psychotic-mass-murderer are sent to Arkham Asylum (a.k.a. HOSPITAL) not jail/executed because they are INSANE. In case of extreme condition of murder you can get away from anything by pleading insanity in court (just like Hannibal Lecter) and unfortunately Batman's enemies are all INSANE.

3) I think it is because of his parents death that drive him to be Batman, so the writer thinks that we need to remember that over, and over, and over, and over again. Just like Spider-Man's "Uncle Ben is dead because of me" or "with great power comes great responsibility speech".

1) He is a James Bond Like Villain so realism is not that big of a deal when he was created. But you are right he is not more realistic than Spider-man.

2) The insanity plea. In the Devil's Advocate a graphic Novel featuring the Joker, it was stated that he has killed over 2000 people and Deserves the Death penalty a thousand times over (Literally), But he is Clinically Insane. They don't send him to Jail as a matter of fact he has only been once in Jail (During the Devil's Advocate) but send him to The Arkham Asylum for the criminally insane, of which he escapes frequently.

3) Not in every Monthly, but defiantly in every Graphic Novel. Is to accentuate His obsession. It Worked in Dark Knight Returns and many b class Writers don't know how to use it correctly so they point it out at every chance the get. Sometimes it is an important part of the story (DKR, Batman Year One, A Serious House for a serious Earth, Batman War on Crime) and Sometimes it is used for no reason other than to make Batman look Like An emo ( everything written by Joe Loeb)
