Why does everyone hate dubs so much?!
Question: I'm so F-ing bored... Any advice on helping me look for my DBZ BT3 game? My bratty toddler nephew hid it somewhere...

Not so much as hating them..... the only reason why i dislike duubs (compared to subs) is because most voice over actors (english) are just so horrible....
and yeah, they do candy-coat everything.... but you know.... i can handle that....
its the voices that get to me....
but other than that,, if they dont have subs then i will be grateful that they at least have the dubbed....
and.... how about under the bed?
oh!! my little sis used to hide my stuff in my weird places like the oven or the fridge or the microwave all the time... or in places like inside a coat or in one of my moms many pillows... lol!

DUBS RUIN ANIME they take out alot of stuff and get wierd voices for characters.

i don't hate dubs, but i prefer watching in subs. what i hate is when i watch on tv, because that's where the tv station starts cutting all the good parts. i usually just watch dub anime when i buy a dvd, but....
SUBS are best!!^^
Well real quick I wouldn't say I hate dub,it just after watching the sub episodes for so long now the dub voices just sound a little werid and for your bored I don't play an online game or something.
I can understand 4Kids dubs cuz all their complaints are the source of their bad dubbing, americanizing, ridiculous editing and cheesy voices, but anime dubbed by FUNimation, Viz and Ocean Group don't do any of that! Bleach and Naruto and InuYasha were never edited (tv stations did the editing but not the dubbing companies) and they also have great voice actors.
Because dubs make almost all the anime characters sound weird and sometimes stupid. One of the dubbed anime I watched has this character that is supposed to be funny but his voice, after dub, turns out to be the kind you expect to hear from a dull nerd. It totally ruins the anime!
I hate Dubbed anime. they ruin all the voices, originally Japanese. Then the Americans can't say ANYTHING right. Like they pronounce anime character's name WRONG. They have no talents.
i don't really hate dubs i mean i wont watch them unless im really tired of reading subs but i don't hate dubs but there is one anime where i hate subs and thats fruits basket because when kyo shouts you don't understand anything hes saying in the subs haha so i only watch dub for that one : )

for example naruto in the dub sounds like an lady with a very raspy voice
I Dont i perfer dubb but maby because the subb is more far in the tv series.

they hate them because they take what the people are really saying and edit them soo much that it's not really the anime you know and love anymore
i don't hate the dub i love watching anime that is English dubbed because i can actually understand what their saying
Hmmm... If your nephew is anything like my little niece, he probably gives his hiding place away a lot, with little quick glances.......
As for the question, I don't hate dubs. If you really want to get into an anime, you can watch subs. if you don't want to have to read anything, dubs make your enjoyment a lot less strenuous.

ok, I hate dubs because the voices suck, they edit so many things, they change something in the plot and they make their own dialougues! and all of that suck!
well, I'm not telling that all of the dub anime are like this, but some of them are really like this, take for ex. one piece, the dubbed version had all of the above! the anime was butchered you know.... that's why I hate dub, c'mon, be original, watch original!
