I think they do, but everything goes so much faster in the game while the anime adds a lot of usual travel stuff to it.

well, Not really, I like the new pokemon games, bu I don't really like the old ones.
Pretty much they do. But the really cool stuff they either do add to the games or the show doesn't have it. I think there should be a game where we can be a trainer and go through all the regions and be able to have other people travel with us OR have a game where we could be part of Team Rocket or Magma (or one of the bad guys) instead of always being the good guy.
