So i dunno if anyone can help me find this comic book. I'm turning 24 at the!

Question: I remember when i was in elementary school, maybe 11 or 12, I saw this comic book with X-Men and they were doing some final battle...which i forgot against whom. But alot of the characters died and some survived (i think jubilee and gambit were one of them). I was wondering if anyone knows what im talking about and can help me identify that comic.

it does sound like the Age of Apocalypse limited series, esp if the final battle had nuclear bombs dropping. Wolverine had only one hand in the series, if that helps, and there was no Professor X.

Didn't much follow comics back in the day, but a suggestion could be that they were fighting Apocalypse. That would probably be X-Men: The Twelve. I think that's where they put him to rest finally. Try wikipedia.

I'm thinking from the timeline it might have been the X-Men's first Age of Apocalypse storyline. That sounds about right with the giant fight and all. It was a sort of future story or alternate timeline thing. You can check it out on wikipedia and there is a trade paperback out for it.
