I look on the internet. Thats what I did when I started watching Bleach when it came out in Japan, also Elfen Lied. I just look around ;D I type like "New Anime" Stuff like that.

I would usually ask my friends if they knew it and if it was good. Then i would probably look on the internet of the anime like the summary of what it's all about. If it seems interesting, I would start watching it. Sometimes when i see a manga book that i never heard, i tend to just read it.
Ya, it first started with Naruto. It was always on and I never bothered to watch it,in fact I almost hated it at the time. In August of this year when they had the Naruto marathon from episodes 1-100 i started watching because nothing else was on. Once I saw the some of the episodes and I was getting into it I was hooked,I was so into it I watched the whole marathon from start to finish for the three days it was. After that I loved Naruto ever since and I think its the best show ever made,and after that I started getting into more anime/manga too. It all I read and watch now. I love the action and plot's in it and on the side relationships especially between Naruto and Hinata.

Its completely random, I began watching DBZ when I was about7, and from then, I just started liking different anime.

I started watching anime towards the end of last summer. i was searching for something on youtube and i saw this amv on youtbe and it was this aniem called Peach Girl. It looked kinda interesting so i decided to look it up and watch episodes and all...i got hooked and wanted more. now i found out one of my really good friends likes anime and has kept it a secret for a long time! but haha i brought her out of the "closet" as she claims. we also got all my other friends hooked up on it and now its just something we watch a lot now!

Yahoo Answers is great for finding new anime to watch as sooooooooooooo many people have asked "whats a good anime to watch" i just read the answers and take a look at the ones i havnt seen before.
