Do the people who write the Sunday comics in the paper even try anymore?!

Question: Does anyone else find these cartoons lame? I understand the target audience for these cartoons are probably 7-13 year olds, but even keeping that in mind, does it really seem like the comics are worth the paper they are printed on?

I couldn't agree with you more! Every randome time I actually glance at the paper (probably twice a year) I read some of the comics, and just wonder how these people can still make a living doing such a poor job making comics. Im surprised papers still even have a comic section. Do the editors really look at those comics, and think they are good enough to go in the paper? Sounds like a bunch of people need to be fired.

they have to fill the paper with mindless crap so that it can appear like they have a lot to say.

I don't think they do.

And this doesn't just apply to comics. It seems this applies to alot of so called "artistic" things.

There are many books out there that are a waste of paper. Do writers even know what plot and dramatic tension really are??
There is also an entire segment of music out there that serves no purpose whatsoever. Does anyone know how to write a melody anymore? I mean, seriously! Have you heard the top 40?

So Sunday comics are lame. Why? They're lame because people in any medium (writing, art, music) found out long ago that it's easier to just come up with very simple things instead of putting any thought or heart into it at all. At least there is still some stuff out there that is truly artistic.
