I might agree with you there. I know Inuyasha is extremely long but I haven't seen all the episodes of Detective Conan although I did see the first few. I heard that Naruto is long. But I still think Inuyasha is probably the longest.

If I remember correctly.DC has over 400+ or 600+ episodes,and Inuyasha only has about 100-200 episodes.Don't even compare Naruto to DC it's only halfway there.

Inuyasha is still being made in manga, but the anime series finished several years ago.
edit: Darkridr and Sakura, Sazae-san, like everything else everyone has mentioned, is both a manga AND an anime. The manga first began as a newspaper strip in 1946, the animated series began in 1969.

I thing the longest running anime is Sazae-san, which has somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000-5000 episodes. It's been running since 1969.
Doraemeon has close to 2000 episodes, and as such is the longest running anime in history.
