Anime vs American Television?!
Question: which is better?
I say Anime cuz American shows are just stupid nowadays, back in the 80s and 90's we had:
-Simpsons before it turned gay in season 7
-Fresh Prince
-Family Matters
-Knight Rider
Everything now is just plain stupid like
-Scrubs
-Quintuplets
-My Wife & Kids
-Gilmore girls
American tv has gotten perveted, vulgar, and downright slapstick and jokes are all dumb, nothing is witty. the jokes are all about sexual things, jokes in Anime vary and are more witty, even if translated into English they're funny!.

Interesting question!! well, i'm a big fan of anime..their jokes were incredibly full of laughter n by the way, we actually have never thinking of making jokes like in the anime as they did..by the way, i'm agree when it is translated 2 english, yes..it's very funny..hahaha
such as, yakitate japan, honey&clover, yu yu hakusho, slam dunk, black jack, colourcloud palace, air gear..ooh, it's 2 many..watch it!!

eeeh... i wouldn't say ALL anime is great... there are some good ones. But anime has the same problem as American TV... They just go on forever and ever and don't know when to stop so they get crappy from running out of ideas. But with American reality TV shows, i would agree that American TV has certainly gone downhill. They should have more mini-series like Japan does when it comes to drama. Japanese drama only has about 1 or 2 seasons total and about 13 episodes per season. It's perfect. They know when to end the story.

You'd really have to be specific, because American shows have great stuff and not-as-great stuff. Anime too.
Men can be stupid. But so can women. None is worse, none is better.

i'll prefer anime for serious and most adventurous program while in american cartoons was just for fun!(comedy to be specific)
Just to let you know, anime is perverted as well. Even the ones meant for kids, have hidden lines in it, but then again, so did some of the original Disney movies.
What I like best about anime, then American television, is that the Japanese aare willing to take risks in most cases whereas in America, we tend to tone everything down. For example, the old Sailor Moon episodes. They are really retarded, but I was bored one day and watched it in Japanese. I thought I was watching a different show. It is amazing, how different they are.
Oh, please... they BOTH have their good shows and their REALLY bad shows.

You're generalizing. You're also comparing an animated series to several live-action series, which is hardly comparable for a number of reasons. You're also comparing adult television shows to children's television shows.
All in all, you're entitled to your opinion, but please stop comparing the broad definition of anime to the broad definition of American television. They're not even the same.

And how can you say that anime is not perverted? What anime are you watching? Even "children's shows" are openly vulgar and depict sexual themes consistently. I don't need to go into the details.. you're opinion won't change, I'm sure.
You're opinion is just that: an opinion.
So to answer your question: I'm going to stick with American television. Presently, the quality is declining, but no more than that of Japanese television. However, if it were an option, I would honestly choose Australian or Canadian television over the others.
