How did kakashi sensei get his mangekyuo sharingan?!

Ok, everyone's telling you how he got his Sharingan, which is not what I think you were asking.
Reguarding the Mangekyuo, I looked on Wikipedia and it said that he "developed it over time". From going back and watching episodes 12 - 16 of Shippuuden, I think this is the case. Especially in episode 13, I think Kakashi basically reveals that he can do it and Itachi seems to be surprised. You can interprit that how you like but I thought that perhaps it was something to do with the Mangekyuo.
When he and Naruto are facing Deidara later on, he definitely uses it then, I also think he mentions it being a new technique. So he's definitely been working on it. During the fight with Deidara, Kakashi has to use a seal to activate his Mangekyuo technique, which I think is the first time we see it, (there are three techniques to the Mangegyuo, Itachi has only used two so far and it looks as if Kakashi uses the third one). It's a bit confusing actually after reading on that page and contradictory of what I said earlier, because although Itachi seemed surprised that Kakashi could use the mangekyuo, (after Kakashi hinted though, in ep 13), we must remember that after Itachi killed his family and he spoke to Sasuke about becoming better and letting his hatred guide him, plus telling him to go to the Uchiha hideout to find out the family secret when Sasuke was little, he does tell him that there are only three people who have ever attained the Mangekyuo.
So that does make you think that did he know Kakashi could use it then? BUT, I've just had a thought occur to me as I'm writing this! *Laughs* It's well known that Madara, Itachi and Kakashi are users of the Mangekyuo and there's three of them but thinking on it now, he probably meant himself, Madara and Madara's brother as being the three users!
So yeah, I don't think he knew Kakashi could use it till now, if in episode 13, the point in the manga in which he fights with Itachi whilst Chiyo, Naruto, Sakura and he are on their way to save Gaara is where he hints at it, thus making it the first time Itachi finds out about it. I personally take it as a hint.
From my own point of view, I always thought that Kakashi being able to use the Mangekyuo happened at this point in the manga and episode 14 of the Shippuuden, around the same fight: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/260/06/ , page 6 to 9. To me, when I first watched Kakashi use the Mangekyuo, I always recalled this part from earlier on, when Kakashi's clone stared into Itachi's eyes. I though it was logical that he coppied it somehow and that's how he learnt it but it appears I was wrong.

nope. he went on a mission with his teammates and he was blinded in one eye. Obito Uchiha, his best friend, gave him his eye before he died..

Kakashi had trained him self over time to unlock the Mangekyu Sharingan,he probably did some serous training to unlock it. Also the death of Obito his best friend might have help towards unlocking it.

It's currently unknown. He got his Sharingan from Obito, but he did something in betweent the time skip to get mangekyou.
I read somewhere that he got a special seal that allows him to use the Mangekyo Sharingan
well it is unclear how he got it i mean yes you do have to kill your best friend according to the uchiha clan secret room
well the series is about over coming the odds and what not so i give the proposal that he used his skill to unlock it and that since he unlocked it without killing his best friend he will not go blind in his eye.
or he got it because he felt like he had killed his best friend obito thus making the mangekyuo sharingan come out
He got the sharingan from Uchiha Obito, but as for the Mangekyou, he says he "developed a new technique" to Naruto in that episode where they're going up against Deidara. So they really don't tell us how... They just show us that he suddenly has it... so yeah....
