(lol) Well, what happened . . . I'm not exactly sure. All I know is that the regular cartoons out there today are just bad compared to the good old days.
Ahh, how nostalgic. Okay, I am just really bored and about to go to bed. (lol) How are the animation in todays cartoons worse than those of old? I wouldn't know since I really don't watch any regular cartoons that are on nowadays, only the old stuff

this generation sucks dude, but my faves were doug, animaniacs, rockos modern life, looney tunes...alot of the 90s nickelodeon cartoons, those rocked

They have been on strike.
I sure hope and wish someday there will be more disney/ originals, like Dumbo,and Tarzan,Snow White,Cinderella..ect,
(I think you know the gist)..get out there on Public T.V once again. so the children of today can experience the real thing of how Disney himself; impacted children.
they all got lazy and decided computer graphics is the only way to go.. I like it when CG is used for small bits and special effects but for the whole animation.. It's not as great anymore.
One of the reasons why I stick to only anime nowadays.. I still watch old cartoons though. Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Rabbit.. Old favorites..
EDIT: there should be like a world wide petition for the return of non-CG animation!!!!
Computers! Makes them too slick and garish. The older ones have a rougher feel and that gives them a better look. Some of today's cartoons consider PC issues too much. The jokes fall flat and the villains are not as evil now days.
The Smurfs??? I hated those... But, I agree with what you're saying... I think the movement part has gotten better, but the "drawings" suck... And now, some have become way melodramatic... That's why the new real deal is Japanese Animation... Watch Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha; now that's the stuff... It gets better and better...
And believe me, you won't be able to complain about anything on that animation...
