Ideas for the opening of a story?!
Question: Ok, well basically its a pokemon fanfic (if your going to badmouth it, then seriously, go away.) Its not going to have ash or anyone in it, its about 4 girls who go on an adventure to save the world.
I dont know how to open it though.. The girls dont know eachother at the start, well two of them know eachother and then they meet the other two girls.

well, the two girls meet the other two at a pokemon contest, each of the 2 girls are sisters and they battle each other, but a new team rocket or the original messes up the contest and the 4 girls battle them and win and they go on adventures and live happily ever after.
Each one of them walks out of their house with their pokemon and whatnot, and then they all end up bumping into each other at an intersection.
and have a four way battle !

They all come from different directions to save something and end up discovering the only way they will save it or whatever it is is to team up with the total strangers

It's worked on all the games so far?
Try adding a lot of genres if you want to make it interesting
say.... The girls dont know each other at first then ( since its pokemon) a big monster or pokemon whatever it is attacks 2 of the girls that know each other and they need help. Bingo! thats where they meet the other girls who find them and try helping them kill the monster/pokemon thingy. They go on a journey together. Fight many fights. Get Boyfriends. The end and thats all you need for a great pokemon story thing.
well, I don't know anything about pokemon but as for opening storys...
Why don't you start with something like: 'This is soooooo boring!' shouted Girl A and slammed her fist into the water of the lake. Her companion twitched. 'What exactly is boring?' she asked, wiping away single drops of water on her face. 'Gosh, this water stinks' she thought.
'Everything. EVERYTHING!' Girl A answered pulling her fist out of the water and swaying it up and fro. Girl B sighed. It was always the same with her friend Girl A. First they came to a place and Girl A was all excitement and happiness but only few days later she got annoyed and bored. Her wild Temper wasn't exactly helping, too. The easygoing Girl regularly caused real disasters, not because of bad intention, rather because of...clumsyness?
Girl B on the other hand could be described as a very calm and reasonable person...so reasonable that it could almoust be called unemotional or even cold. The two girls were a strange pair and people they met on their journeys regularily asked themselves how in the world those two wound up as friends. Sometimes girl B asked herself the same thing- however, she told herself, it was for the better like this. If there wasn't anybody to restrain girl A, the world itself was probably not safe...
'Well, if you're bored already, we can leave. However, if we don't stay until the end of the week, we won't get our payment and probably starve to death.' Girl B answered calmly.
'Yeah, right' Girl A mumbled and glared furious at her own reflection.
The two girls just got ready to return to the village, when suddenly they heard a scream. Turning into the direction it came from, they saw the silouette of another girl...hanging in a tree?
Coming closer they saw that the strings of a giantic parachute were tangled in the branches of a tree. 'What are you standing around there for? help me,damn it!' the girl shouted when she noticed the two bystanders...
that would be the meeting with the third girl, yaou can let them meet the fourth somewhee on the way after they already know that they have to save the world...of course you can add stuff from the p?okemon world, I just never watched it, so I couldn't do it. Have fun with your story!
These girls are teenagers?
You can start by making 2 girls know each other casually, but they are not part of the same group of friends.
One Saturday all 4 are in a shop selling new games etc. and they notice that ........
