Oh I kind for got this one, I think it was becuase Deidara had made a bet wiht Itachi that he could kill him with his art,and Deidara had thought that he did,but is was just genjutsu and he lost and had to go with Itachi

2. Because he couldn't concentrate doing 3 actions at a time. He emits chakra, a clone manipulates the shape, the other adds the element. If it's Yondaime, Kakashi or Jiraiya, if they get the idea, they may need a clone to help adding the element (since they can emit and manipulate the chakra at the same time).
3. Because Deidara thought Sharingan is a more "beautiful art" than his bombs. 8D And he didn't admit it. Re-read Deidara vs Sasuke chapters.
4. Rin'negan.
5. The first to get it: Rokudou Sennin (Sage of Six Paths). Under Jiraiya's training, Nagato got it.
