Question: Umm...ever since i started watching the show i wanted to know why Itachi killed his whole clan....was it like for no reason???? He's so stupid, why would he kill his own clan, and infront of his little brother!!! plz tell me what was reason?!?!?!

i think that mandara uchiha tricked him into it! mandara wanted power, he killed his own brother to get it! he probably told itachi some stuff that made him do it... itachi was good! he wasnt pretending to be like he said...madara told him to tell sasuke that because the only thing that can keep him from going blind is getting sasukes hatered and his eyes! i bet he never told itachi he'd go blind from the mangekyo in the first place. mandara has only his own interest in mind and is winning to step on everyone to get what he wants!
he said it was because he wanted to know how strong he was
he wanted to"test his ability" or whatever. basically, he just wanted to prove to himself that he was strong enoughto kill a whole bunch of people.
Not only to test his skills but to test Sasuke's as well.
Sasuke asks Itachi what he was doing and Itachi uses his new mangekyou Sharingan on his little brother. Itachi shows Sasuke what he did to the clan and when the illusion is over Sasuke asks his brother why he killed everybody. Itachi replies by saying he wanted to test his skills.
Sasuke then charges his brother but his brother knees him in the chest and then Sasuke says he is scared and runs outside and into the street. Sasuke stops running because Itachi is blocking the way. Sasuke says that was not the brother he knows. Itachi says that he played the role of Sasuke’s big brother the way he wanted to test Sasuke’s skills.
Itachi then says that Sasuke is the person who has the potential to test his skills. He then says that Sasuke hated him and that he wanted to surpass him. That is why Itachi will let Sasuke live. Itachi also states that Sasuke has the power to have the Mangekyou sharingan like him self and that one more person has that same power.
Itachi explains that u must kill your best friend to get those eyes. He says that there is a secret meeting place at the bottom of a shrine and he tells Sasuke to read it and see what the sharingan is really meant for. The next day Sasuke wakes up in a hospital bed from being knocked out by Itachi the night before.
Episode 131: The Secrets of the Mangekyo Sharingan!
I'm kind of new at watching Naruto, so a lot of the episodes are new to me.
itachi kill all his clan because he wan'na test his mangekyu sharingan,.. and want sasuke to be like itachi..
The reason he killed his whole clan was because he wanted to test abilities. He wanted to test how strong he was and in his mind he though the only way to do this was to kill his entire clan except for Sasuke. Itachi didn't kill his whole clan by himself though. Itachi had help from Madara,that's why it was done so,fast and it almost seemed to be to easy,that the whole clan was destroyed,without to what it seemed a good fight. As for Sasuke the only reason why Itachi left him alive wasn't because he felt sorry for him or that he wanted to fight him one day,but he knew that he would go blind one day due to the mangekyou sharingan. So,he kept his brother around for a second pair of eyes,so that he could see again,with going blind. Once someone replaces there mangekyou sharingan,with someone elses sharingan in there family or sibling they can have permanent mangekyou sharingan.

To test his ability.
Testing his capabilities was part of the reason although the real reason, which was revealed around 2 weeks in the manga was that so he could take Sasuke's eyes. As we know, Itachi's eye sight is deteriorating. Thus, his abilities aren't at the fullest. He wanted Sasuke to get the mangekyo sharigan to claim as his own, as Madara did. Also, Madara was part of killing the clan although the reasons for that is still vague. He's the mastermind behind Kyuubi terrorizing Konoha and Akatsuki.
To sum it all up, Itachi is insane and lusts (deeply) for power.
