Captain Tsubasa: Best Sports Anime Ever?!
Question: I think Captain Tsubasa is the original and the BEST sports anime ever, it's like the only anime that made a sport more popular in Japan, It played a big part in making Football more popular to the point where the Japanese Football Association sponsors the series, Football became more popular in Japan. . everything that came after Captain Tsubasa copies it directly with all the stylized moves.

PS: I don't care what you call it in America, the rest of the world calls it 'Football', the real name of American Football is Gridiron. And besides the sport is much older than Gridiron and invented in England where it's referred to as Football.

Shut up already. And no, Captain Tsubasa is garbage. Might be more interesting if it was about REAL football.
I've seen the anime and really likes it too. I remembered one time David Beckham was interviewed right after he got to US and he mentioned "Football" then corrected it to "Soccer" along with "I'll get used to it".
I've seen Prince of Tennis as well and really like it. Although the format is real reminiscence of Captain Tsubasa.

Alright I'm a huge football fan, and I appreciate what Captain Tsubasa did for Japan- but Hajime no Ippo is the best sports anime ever (and I hate boxing).

obviously, it's about Tennis. there are also made up moves probably like soem moves in your soccar anime...
there's alot of really cute guys in it too.
