How long does it take to make a 30 min animated episode. like spongebob?!

Question: It depends on alot of factors, but generally it takes about 6 months to a year of production for most animated shows to go from the very first stages of production until the final product gets aired on TV (they usually make a dozen or several dozen episodes at a time so that things come out on a more frequent basis)

The one exception is South Park, since they like to stay on topic, and also have very cheap, efficient and quick production. If they want to do an episode on a subject that's newsworthy that week, they are capable of rushing an episode out in two weeks or so, since they do everything through computers and have such a simple style. They don't have to mess with overseas animators who don't speak English, complicated character designs and backgrounds, etc.
