Lovely Complex-A very, very cute and romantic anime about a very tall girl and a very short boy. This anime is hilarious at times and has moments that just make you want to cheer from happiness. The relationship between the two main characters is complex and interesting and realistic and enjoyable to watch. I saw it at animecrunch.com
Kare Kano-I did not see the anime, but I really enjoyed the manga. The story of an overachieving perfectionist who meets her match in her new classmate. He seems absolutely perfect on the outside, but soon, both their perfect facades begin to fade as they discover each other's true selves. Very cute and romantic :). Probably at veoh.com
Marmalade Boy-This anime is longer, but cute. The story of a girl who falls for her new step-brother. There are tons of characters and love triangles and lots of side relationships so you're never quite bored. I'd recommend this. I watched it at youtube a long time ago, but it's probably been deleted.
Chobits-This anime has elements of sci-fi and magic, but the overall premise is magic. Hideki, your typical anime cram-school-pervert, finds a persecom (like a robot) on the side of the road one day and decides to keep it. The persecom's name is Chi. It's the story of Hideki and Chi's relationship, as they struggle with the question of whether they can truly be together and as they begin to discover more about Chi's past. Very good and cute. I saw it at youtube, but it's probably been deleted.
Ai Yori Aoshi-The story of the romance between Kaoru and Aoi, two childhood friends who promised to marry. Aoi, a shy. quiet girl, seeks Kaoru, a surprisingly decent guy, out and they begin a romance. But soon, due to a bunch of circumstances that I can't remember, they have to move into a giant house with lots of other girls lodging in it, turning the anime into a harem. What I like about this is how Kaoru isn't the typical pervert loser you seen in harems. Can be seen at veoh.com
D.N.Angel-This has elements of magic and fighting. The overall premise isn't romance, but there is romance involved. It's about a boy named Daisuke who, when thinking about his crush, turns into a phantom thief named Dark. The anime deals with his growing relationships between two girls (who happen to be twins with completely opposite personalities) and his fights as Dark. I really enjoyed this anime, and it's not lacking in the romance department. I think it's at veoh.com
Hantsuki-A short anime, this is about the relationship between two teenagers in a hospital. It's only 6 episodes, so it's good for killing some time. I saw it at youtube.
Angelic Layer-About a young girl who begins playing this game called Angelic Layer, where people basically have these fights with these...doll robot type things. It's very good. Meanwhile, the main character is dealing with a bit of romance and looking for her estranged mother. I'd recommend this one :). It can be seen at veoh.com. And it's by the same people as Chobits.
Battle Athletes Victory-No romance, but pretty good. Lots of friendship stories. It's a sort of part-sci-fi-part-sports anime about the daughter a great sports legend competing for the same spot her mother won. The first anime I ever saw :). It's pretty good, but not too popular or well-known.
Shakugan no Shana-It's been a while since I've seen it, but if I can remember correctly, it's about this girl who is a Flame Haze, ie she fights these monster things that take people's life forces. When a monster kills someone, the monster steals their existance, so Torches come in and replace the lost existance for a while in a sort of transition period before disappearing altogether and having everyone forget that person existed. Yuji, a high school boy, one day discovers that he is a Torch and that he will be disappearing soon. But what he doesn't know is that he is a special kind of Torch. There's romance between Yuji and Shana (the flamehaze) and definitely action and magic. It's at veoh.com, I think.

1. Naruto
Summary-When Naruto was born the spirit of a evil nine-tailed fox was imprisoned within him, rendering him the hate of the villagers in the ninja-village of the Leaf who feared the demon in him. Countering this hate he grew into the role of the clown, trying to attract attention by making a fool of himself and his teachers. But within him dwells the dream of becoming Hokage, the strongest warrior of the village. When he graduates from the academy he’s placed in the same group as Sakura, the technician and the girl he loves and Sasuke, the strong, quiet guy and his rival for Sakura. Leader and teacher of the group are Kakashi, the strange and always late, though powerful ninja.
2. Bleach
Summary- Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family; but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Soul Reaper himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits and, along with Rukia--who is slowly regaining her powers--it's Ichigo's job to protect the innocent from Hollows and help the spirits themselves find peace
3. Full metal alchemist
Summary- When two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric tried to revive their mother using Alchemy, something went drastically wrong. Edward lost his leg and his arm, and Alphonse lost his entire body. Now, a few years later, Edward becomes what's known as a "State Alchemist" or a Nationally recognized Alchemist. Along with Alphonse, who's spirit has been put into a metal suit of armor, and his Automail leg and arm, the two brothers set out to find a way to restore themselves.

Summary- Tohru Honda is 16 year old orphaned girl who gets invited to live in the house of her classmate, the handsome boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, 16 year old Kyo and 27 year old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of the rest of their family (both close and distant) hold a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Everyday is an adventure for sweet Tohru, as she gets to know everyone in the large family better (especially Yuki and Kyo), in both common and bizarre situations. But, the Sohma Family curse is certainly no laughing matter... it also holds horrible cruelity and heartbreak.
5. Lovely complex
summary- Koizumi Risa, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another's height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she's worried. She doesn't know if he can ever see her as more than a friend, and she's afraid that if she tells him how she feels, she could ruin what they have. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between them can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn't make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. Hopefully she won't drive herself and everyone else crazy in the process.
6. Rosario Vampire
Summary- Due to poor grades, Tsukune Aono, an average high school student, has been unable to get accepted into any private academy of his choice. By exceptional accident, the only school to accept him turns out to be anything but ordinary; the school is attended by youkai disguised as humans. Fearing for his life, he attempts to escape only to meet Moka Akashiya, a beautiful girl who just happens to be a vampire. Despite this, Tsukune decides to stay at the academy, hiding his human nature from students and teachers. Tsukune also discovers that when the rosary around Moka's neck is removed, her true nature emerges.

I recommend watching Kenichi
It is about a boy who wants to be able to protect those he loves but everyone calls him weak legs. He finds a girl who seems to be in trouble and he rushes to her rescue but she ends up beating them all up. He goes to the dojo she goes to and soon begins to live there.
I am sure i probably could' ve given a better summary but you probably wouldn't want to read that much, considering how much is going on in this anime. It is AWESOME. Also try the Rurouni Kenshin OVA if you havent already. It explains how he got his name, how he became an assassin and how Hiko found him. I am a huge Kenshin freak. I even know all the names of his moves off of memory.
