For 4Kids haters, w/e, HOW come in the english version, their names are not Satoshi or Kasumi? Why did 4Kids change it too stupid american names? Misty is good, but Ash? No...

Nintendo likes to mess around with numbers. To make things interesting I guess (damn them for delaying BRAWL!)
As for the 4Kids thing... your kidding right? 4Kids is evil. They are without a doubt the worse dubbing company ever made!

it changes some of the pokemon names as well, perhaps they though that it would be too hard for little kids to pronounce the names
I think it's a little dumb to have that many in the first place, but I guess it it annoying that it isn't a rounded off number.

Probably because 4Kids doesn't think that kids will be able to accept any names that aren't American.

Pokemon creators just want the exact number, plus probably they ran out of Pokemon idea for another 7 to get exact 500.

The reason 4Kids change the name so that little kids in America can memorize the name easily, since Satoshi and Kasumi are kinda hard for them...

Its kinda dumb. It should rather be 500 also. I think Mew rox, because it's my nickname that poeple like naming meh.
