Should I Give Death Note a chance?!
Question: almost everyone i know loves it. i've never seen it before and i was wondering if it was any good. is there a manga of it? if there is, should i read it first and then watch the show?

you should definatly give it a chance, at first i thought it was gonna be pretty stupid because all some guy does is write in a book, oh how mistaken i was. some one told me to just watch it, i did, reluctantly at first. but it became really interesting.
I would definitely recommend reading/watching Death Note. It's a very good series. And yes, there is a manga to it. It has 12 volumes out and it's a completed series.
Well I was the same as you... I didn't think deathnote was going to be all that great, but after I got farther into the episodes, it got really good. And as for the manga vs anime.. I wouldn't know, I've only watched it, but the anime's awsome!

To me, Death note is a very eye-catching manga and anime. The actions of the main character make you think whether or not his actions are justifiable. The show itself has wonderful graphics/ animation and the manga is very well put together.
Whether to read it first or to watch it is entirely based on your preference. What I did was read a few chapters and then watch the episode that it matched.

personly i love death note, its awsome its has u at the edge of your seet, but i dont no if u should read the manga first if u want to, i sugest watching it first

I read the manga first (not all the episodes of the anime were out yet)
I am one of those people who likes to read the manga first before starting the anime but that's just me ^^

and yes there is a manga but i havent read it so i cant tell you which to do first, but a friend of mine said it was really good as well... (i think he watched it first though...?)

at first i wasn't impressed but like an avid toonhead i kept watching and started to like it. i want to see the live action version. yeah and read the manga first then watch it. both are very good.

NO way you'll hate how it ends, it's also one of the most boring-est animes u'll ever see, no action, no fighting, all they do is use reverse physiology in it.
That show is amazing,if you don't give it a chance you're definitely going to be missing out.View it with an open mind and yes it would be better if you read up to the show but watch it because the Manga's ahead so don't go to far or you'll ruin some of the feel of the show or maybe you should watch the show first from the begging.
