Tales from the Darkside episode ??!
Question: I tuned in to see TFTDS one night many years ago when it was still on the air and was disappointed to find out that it was not going to air that night. But in its place was a cartoon about a man and his dog. The man had this" happy go lucky" kinda dog that he was always trying to train but couldn't. He enrolled him at a guard dog school and turned on him at the end of the cartoon. I kinda remember thinking that this was an actuall TFTDS episode and that when they said that the show was pre-empted it was just a creative kinda joke, because the cartoon was really scary the way it was animated. Does anyone out there remember tuning in to TFTDS and seeing this cartoon ? If it wasn't TFTDS then what was it ?? I remember it being a really great cartoon. Thanks. UPDATE- I've searched the episode lists and have concluded that it wasn't an episode of TFTDS but am still hoping someone remembers this

Sounds like "The Family Dog" which got it's start on an episode of "Amazing Stories" and later had it's own (VERY) short-lived series...
well, both shows were on around the same time, and each dealt with strange tales of horror, fantasy and sci-fi, so the mistake is understandable... Report It
