The Pervy Sage finally dies. But it only happened in the manga, they don't have an episode yet. Pein (or Pain... however you want to spell it) killed him.

u dont really know if he was killed or not...he just disappears into a lake i think but dont quote me...it was Pain who killed him so we are led to believe at least...no one else in the naruto world is aware of this as of yet tho

According to the manga, he says himself something to the effect of "this was the way I wanted to die" and then his body gets carried out to sea. He was killed by Pain and his henchman, who all had the rasengan for some reason. He (Jiraiya) said he had just figured out who Pain really was and told one of the toads to go back and tell the others who the leader of the Akatsuki really was!

His name is spelled Jiraiya. And he does die, after fighting Pein and his multiple bodies. He discovers who the real leader of the Akatsuki is, and sends out a frog to tell Naruto and his friends what he found out.
