Question: Anime and hentai freaks when its actually a place for us comic nerds? I RARELY see a question about Batman, Spiderman, Green Arrow or anything else that may relate to comic books. Why is this?

I've noticed that too. Today's most popular cartoons for kids now are all these anime shows and the most popular comics are mangas. I am grateful I grew up with original comic books and I used to watch Batman, Spiderman, and the X-Men series with my older brother. I guess you really can't get back the good days..
Because manga is a form of comic book and anime is a form of animation, haha. This forum is for all types of comics and all types of animation, and since manga/anime is pretty popular, it stands to reason that there's quite a lot of it.
Besides, there's some Batman-Spiderman-etc questions around here. Just not as often.
well, since there isnt an anime section, and this is the closest to it. Plus, people who read comics are usually really yound (sometimes) but we still get comic questions. Batman questions are all over the place!!

It's called comics and ANIMATION. So obviously there are going to be some animation questions out there considering this section is for both comics and animation. If you don't see any questions about Batman or Spiderman or whatever maybe you should start asking the questions to get a response out of people who like that stufff. And just because some people like anime it doesn't mean that they are freaks. I just thought I would point that out.
I agree with you but it seems that the young people are more interested in anime and not interested in the real heroes like the ones you mentioned and more.I too am a comic nerd as you say and when I ask a question about real comics I get very few answers.

This is mostly about manga and manga is Japanese comics
Anime is so cool. A lot of people are getting into it. Batman is much older and not many people are into it anymore. There are still Batman questions but its old now and stuff like Naruto and Bleach are much newer.
Well manga is a form of comics and Animation is anime. Manga just happens to be more popular then comics now. Sorry. :) There's some questions about batman and stuff, but not as often. Also there are rarely question about hentai. If your referring to Yaoi and shounen ai that's not hentai. Hope I helped some. :)
The "animation" aspect brings in the anime fans because there really isn't another venue for them, although I think it would be logical to create a sub-division under television just for Anime since almost all of the Anime Army is obsessed with made-for-Japanese-television series.
I do see questions dealing with comic books now and again, as well as non-Japanese cartoons, but well over half the questions do seem to deal with Nippon anime in one way or another. Of course, if variations of the question "Where can I find (anime title) episode (number) online without downloading" would disappear, the ratio of anime/comics questions would be much closer.
If you want to see more questions dealing with comic books, then ask a few comic book related questions. I do that now and again, and I've found there are comics fans using this venue.
well anime is a form of animation, dont know where you see the "hentai freaks" but your own knowledge of it speaks words about you.
those questions are there you just ahve to find them, there is a search tool. dont see any you like, then ask away.
