Dubbed or subbed?!

Question: How do you prefer watching anime?

I normally watch the subbed version of an anime, if I watch it on the internet. But when it's on tv, then I take a break from my computer and go and watch the dubbed version. A lot of the times they're not bad. ^-^

Which do you prefer?

Answers: How do you prefer watching anime?

I normally watch the subbed version of an anime, if I watch it on the internet. But when it's on tv, then I take a break from my computer and go and watch the dubbed version. A lot of the times they're not bad. ^-^

Which do you prefer?

Subbed about 98%ish of the time. I'm not a sub purist.

I don't think dubs are as bad as people say they are. Sure there's lots of dubs out there where the voices aren't that good but there's some good dubs out there. I've never seen a dub that I would consider unwatchable.

It's kind of hard saying one's better than the other since there are pros and cons to both. Pros of subs are that you won't have to wait for anime to be dubbed when some anime never does get dubbed. And there's that whole no editing/censoring, it's more original thing. And I've already been used to subs before I started watching anime since I like to watch TV shows like Scrubs and Lost with subs (sometimes actors don't enuciate) so reading the subs aren't a big deal to me. Good things about dubs are that you can multitask, or else I have to glance at the screen every couple of seconds while I do my homework.

Just kind of depends on the anime for me. Subs are just much easier to find though, and I'd rather just watch subs especially if it's not licensed yet/might never be vs waiting for something that might not happen.

Subbed.

I like subs, because it makes the anime watching experience seem more authentic. There is no blood or cussing that is edited and the voices don't sound childish. Not to mention that the translations are right and not butchered or competely done poorly or massacred.

Although I kind of dislike the fact that I can't multitask when watching anime with subtitles, cause you can't look away or you'll miss what they're saying. But I'm over that cause since I've been watching anime subbed I've become a faster reader ;) Not to mention I actually picked some Japanese up on the way ^^

So there, all my reasons why I love subs over dubs. =)
> Besides I only watch TV to watch sports or movies :)

[Edit] I just wish to clarify something -- Pixie Stick are you implying that I'm a snob?... o_0

Subbed, as i want to hear the original intention behind the language

Dubbed. (gasp!)

I'm not one of those snobs who thinks that the Japanese anything is best.

Sure I like hearing the Japanese voices and language, but when I really want to watch something for the storyline, I prefer to hear it. Reading, watching and listening? Too many modes going on to really get the story's full effect.

I actually prefer reading manga, but listening is best for anime. Having to read subtitles somehow takes a bit from emotional scenes.

Subbed....i just think the voices sound soo much better

sometimes..the english actors sound like they're just reading lines instead of acting, if you know what i mean. lol

I prefer subbed.

Not all dubs are really bad. It's always nice to see a show you like on tv. A lot of good can come from an anime being dubbed.

I have to say, the one anime I was most glad about being it dubbed is Noein. That anime is awesome, the dub wasn't too bad, I'm sure it got more fans since it was aired on Sci-Fi's animonday.

There are a few that are good, I just prefer it subbed. Plus, I don't have to wait as long for episodes to come out.

I'm the same as you. On the computer I watch the anime subbed and on tv I watch it dubbed. :) Either one is fine with me, most of the dubbed anime I've seen are good. As long as it's anime I'm good. :)

it depends like if the series is really long and i just started it and trhere already on 130 are something close to it then i'll watch it dubbed but it's between both i'm not really sure i guess 50 50

dubbed
