Question for you ppl who love anime and gaming. You should know the answer...?!

Question: Why do Japanese made games, that are totally produced in Japan, have Westernized names, even in Japanese?

Example.

Final Fantasy is the English version of the game but in Japan, it is called "Fainaru Fantaji" ~ that's the proper Japanese title for the game, as spoken in Japanese.
Why don't the Japanese just use the proper Japanese words for "Final" + "Fantasy" to name the game instead of the English title modified to the Japanese language?

The same goes for anime: "Doragonbōru Zetto" is the Japanese name for Dragonball Z. But in Japanese "Doragon" isn't Japanese for dragon and "bōru" isn't Japanese for ball..

so why is this done, why make the Japanese titles to Japanese anime/games, western/English even when spoken in Japanese?

That might be a marketing strategy.
If they name a game in japanese (the characters) and try to sell it in the US market, some people might get confused and not recognize the game. Even the real name/meaning might get lost in the translation
If you say "Doragonbōru Zetto" i'm pretty sure you're saying "Dragon Ball Z".. but if you were to say that in the proper japanese way i dont think i would know what you are talking about.
Or maybe they are some many US/English products in Japan that people stop trying to translate them into japanese and start reading 'em however they can.
And now intead of spelling the word correctly in english they just spell it how they think people might read... who knows

I think it's because a lot of people just LOVE the US, and wish they were here and like us....maybe?
