How do I get into Creating manga?!

Question: I want a career in creating manga

Answers: I want a career in creating manga

well frist u need to learn how to draw and get lots of tool's like screen tone and thing's like that..and no u don't have to be japanese i'm aking a manga i'm 14...u can submit it to tokyopop and some other companies like that and publishers..good luck

think again

Japan. Learn Japaneese fast.

you could try a pc program called Manga Studio

you want to first polish up your skills in story telling. Manga is purely about movement, and story telling. Gesture drawings are great to start off with, then learn to take those movements detailed in each gesture and refine them into a finished product. Also, understand composition when telling a story because that is actually more important than the quality of the drawing itself.
Go to conventions and ask professionals. AWA (anime weekend atlanta), Comic expo, Dragon Con are all great places. i met Stelfreeze who does cover drawings for batman and he really changed the way I look at things. I would also advise reading other materials for references, in fact I have hundreds of volumes stacked up in my room just for that purpose XD i dont even have time to read them all anymore.
Learn how to use computer applications like photoshop, tablets, centiques, etc. They will make your job so much easier.
Submit your artworks to competition. shounen jump is a great place to start. Even a runners up position is a great stepping stone into the career field. Join forums, post more images online, network with people. The one thing I found out about art careers is that the more people you are on good terms with, the easier it is to find a job. Go to art schools or art expos and find people who are knowledgeable about the marketing part of art, it's always very interesting seeing the public side of art.
For manga, I would suggest visiting Japan to see what has been done. I will warn you about this. Today, most manga artists work in almost identical styles and recycles stories to no end which makes the art style very bland. I suggest that you expand your styles so you can diversify the field, today many companies look for diversity among their ranks rather than just drawing skills. To get a job, you have to be able to convey your ideals into illustrations.

i wish you good luck.
