YES !!!!!!!!!!! finally!! i mean i like family guy a lot but sometimes they go out of porportion like every other teen/adult comedy sometimes. Like the creators who made family guy made american dad and they had god in gay shorts with a belly top washing a car! WTH! i didn't like that at all or sometimes they made racial jokes on family guy too that's also wrong !!! although i like the show they should tone it down a bit i think that's why they might have gotten cancelled last times cause some of there stuff is just way to out there for public tv.
About the religion thing if you watch religion channels out there most people said that one day it's gonna get eaiser and eaiser to make fun of god and jesus christ * our lord and savior* that's why i think that people don't care what they say. Like if someone says screw god they say it too cause i guess they figure nothings gonna happen and they continue living life happily but sadly when judgement day comes not to many people are gonna be laughing then.

yeah, those jokes are really dumb, frankly i think this is why there are so many athiests, they always depict god in media as an aging old man, and it's done so many times and it looks ridiculous.
I think its hilarious! It's so in your face...all it is is interpreting everything that is said about God or Jesus and putting it in a quite literal way. Cracks me up
Yeah....... it can kind of be a bit offensive. I mean, early on, in that episode where Peter was acting like God, it was okay, because it wasn't that bad.
They always portray the religious people as crazy. I mean, I'm not overly religious, but it can be too much.
I did think the Superdevil was funny though. A jar of marmalade that forces you to commit adultery... so random...

but i have to admit they take their jokes too far. sometimes when they laugh, they do it for like 30 seconds straight or if someone gets hurt they say ow for 30 seconds straight
yes. I love family guy but sometimes they push the limit on the god jokes. I saw the episode where he starts the fire in the bar when peter was blind and i thought it was stupid. idk about those jokes. i think Seth McFarlene needs to calm down.
No, from now until the day the day the world ends ppl are going to argue religon, disprove some religons, and force their religous opinions on others. The thing about family guy, and other animated shows is that they do not have a specific view point and makes jokes about all religions. Catholic, protestant, etc. Whether you're religous or not you still have to have a sense of humor. Like God snapping his finers at a girl in a bar he's trying to pick up and she lights on fire (accidentally, of course) and he says "Jesus!" his son comes running and he says "grab the escalade." This is is hilarious: God in a bar tryin to pick a chick, God drives an escalade, and gods light some chick on fire trying to impress her just by snapping his fingers. Its funny innocent humor. Religon is the most sensitive subject on the face of this earth, and most animated shows just make innocent humors jokes about it. Its not more offensive that what we see on the news with each religon pressing their views on soceity.
