If spiderman was real what are his chances to be able to function well in a city!

Question: does he really have enough room to swing around... and if there are no super villians... would he really have anything to do?

Answers: does he really have enough room to swing around... and if there are no super villians... would he really have anything to do?

I think he would actually mirror his comic book persona quite well, minus the supervillains. He would be able to swing through the city with no problem, and would help clean up street-level crime. But he would escalate gang violence because his good deeds would piss off the gangs and mafiosos and they would want his blood, so many bullets would fly every day/night. Given this rise in violence, the NYPD would have to use SWAT tactics, even possibly place the city under martial law to smolder this problem. He's last a few months at best before being killed, or captured and robbed of his unique DNA.

the city would file complaints against him for leaving his web stuck to all the buildings..

There wouldnt be a lot of room and he would probably run into cranes and other things. Not to mention the people of New York would be furious with him because they would have to clean off all the webs he leaves on the buildings, and have you seen how strong they are? I mean they hold him up and can stop a moving subway.

His costume would probably get stolen and some gang would most likely shank him for his money

people would probably complain about him, he would be a bad guy i reckon...if he had no villians to stop

Well, if we start from the concept that he's real, then yes, he'd be able to function. Manhattan's so-called concrete canyons would provide him ample room to web-swing. His agility would help him get around the cranes, which are really only on tops of building, anyway. According to the lore, his webbing dissolves after a while (Which is why Peter never was able to sell the formula and get rich). Finally, there is enough street crime to keep him busy. But if he was real, then super-villains would no doubt appear as well.

I think it would be hard to swing around but after a while he will adjust cause face it we're talking about spiderman

Okay, to start with -- physically no problem. There is plenty of room for web swinging. Many of us left due in no small part to the efforts of the Police Union and to Rudy Giuliani. I suspect, bluntly, he'd end up with a policeman's bullet in his back and no public discussion of it. Economically: Peter Parker is a photographer. He pushes and sells his photos. I think he'd do a lot better in real life than he does in the comic book.

He certainly couldn't swing as low as he does in the movies, but it does look cool on film

Mr. Stiggo has it right. I will add that even if there weren't any super-villains, Spidey would be busy catching other bad guys, like he already does! Plenty of criminals for him to capture.
