My parents LURVE but I mean LURVE Anime/Manga! They used to watch it when they were kids! My mom does think I'm weird (I squeal waaay to much. hehe, fangirl) but she doesn't mind. She once watched Naruto with me and she started hitting on Kakashi lol XD
I've turned her into a Kakashi Fangirl! OH NOES!1!!2!

My mom doesn't care how many episodes of anime I watch a day just as long as I finish my work. She says "keep a balance" -- so if I stay on top of school, play sports -- and don't isolate myself, anime is approved on her list ^_^
My dad on the other hand is a little easier to convince. When I was a kid -- every night before bed, I used to watch an episode of Dragonball on Cartoon Network - and my dad used to watch with me! LOL - he loved Dragonball and all the fighting and Goku's silliness and such! So he understands that anime is good and addicting XD
So basically as I underlined in the beginning -- they don't despise anime but they don't adore it either.

uummmm...i'm a parent and i approve ..uumm...but my kid doesn't like naruto or death note and that's upsetting for me ....will my answer count??!?!?.....
That its probably just another bit of proof that I'm a little off the rocker...but I just think it makes me more awesome cause I know you guys.
Mom -
Doesn't know a lot about anime... she knows I watch it, but I don't think she really knows what specific shows I watch in particular. I think if she knew more about anime she'd think it was 'evil'. XP But as of now she doesn't think anything special of it, other than I waste too much time on it.
Dad -
The only anime he likes is Death Note. XD He's pretty cool about anime, takes me to conventions, buys me anime stuff off of eBay, etc. ^^
They think it's geeky. >_<
But I still love it. ^^

My parents think of anime very child-ish and wants me to stop. Until my Dad sees a part where a couple kisses, I went like "HAHA!!! You thought that's child-ish!" Well, he just went like "Stop looking at that and do your homework!"

They don't know a thing about it, actually. Heck, they don't even know I like it. My brothers and sisters, on the other hand, know lots. My brother makes fun of me for it and purposely mispronounces things, while one of my sisters believes that this is a 'phase' I will eventually grow out of and that it's up to her to break me of it. The only bad thing about my parents not knowing about it is that I can't look at it when I'm at a bookstore or when I'm watching/reading it online or anything like that. I'll get around to telling them one day. Of course, it'll just be one more thing to add to my list of heathen-isms.
my parents....i dont think they know i watch anime....well my dad saw me watching anime on my pc one time...but he didnt know what it was...and he really doesnt give a crap about what i watch. and as for my mom, shes really annoying so ive tried to avoid her knowing i watch anime, because then she'd be like "stop watching those stupid cartoons and do your homework" every second of my anime-watching...soooo yeah. and my brother, well he took japanese for a semester, and apparently he found out about anime in that class, and one time he came in my room while i was watching death note, and it was all intense and so was i, so i didnt even notice him coming in, lol....and then hes like "wow meredith, i didnt know you're an anime nerd" and im just like "shut up" and i went back to watching death note...i dont really think he cares i watch anime, but whenever he sees me watching anime he just has to make some stupid comment about my "cartoon" obsession. blah. sorry for the long answer.

3 words: THEY HATE IT!!! and I used to hate it too... but then I discovered Naruto and I loved it!!! then, one day I was watching Naruto and they catched me...well, I almost got punished..........but I′m still watching Naruto and NOTHING is going to stop me of doing it!!!!
