No,not at all,Naruto and Gaara are just friends,nothing more. The only reason why it seem that they are close to each other/or have the same similarities is because they have had the same fate as each other. They both know and understand on how it feels to be alone especially when you are Jinchuuriki,because of this they both know and understand how they feel. The Jinchuuriki need to look out for each other as there is no one else like them.
Gaara changed because he saw,how Naruto was willing to put his life on the line and risk it to save he friends. He showed Gaara that there is more then just for fighting for yourself,and caring only for yourself. Gaara was changed by those actions,and started to see why Naruto was did what he did,and changed Gaara to care for other people. Naruto tends to have that influence on people to change,and become his friends. Just because Naruto had changed somebody doesn't mean that they would get together
