What do you think is the best "forgotten" anime?!

Question: I watched a series a few months ago called "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" that was brilliant. I stumbled across it entirely by accident.

Any others I should catch? I'm looking for series I've never heard of before, but be warned that I'm pretty knowledgable about anime.

My God, someone else watches Galactic Heroes?? I am so happy to know this!

I am a huge Galactic Heroes fan, and these are other shows I've loved that are not currently released in the US or are just really obscure.

Unlicensed:
Space Pirate Captain Harlock (the 1978 series)
Monster (amazing suspense show)
Ghost Hound (supernatural story from Masamune Shirow)
Shigurui

Unloved in the US:
Kino's Journey
Mushishi
Emma: A Victorian Romance
Crest of the Stars

Dragon Ball Z

Bleach

Captain Harlock.

It's not a series but I'm going to have to go with Blood the last vampire!! Great, amazing, fantastic anime movie!!

Pokemon

Dragon Half. Hopefully not forgotten, though it's certainly not well-known to 12 year olds watching Naruto all day.

A Wind Named Amnesia. I actually haven't gotten a chance to see this myself, but I'd love to.
