Why did TIte kubo name bleach bleach?!

Question: bleach is an awesome anime, but I've always wondered why it was named bleach.

Answers: bleach is an awesome anime, but I've always wondered why it was named bleach.

There is no official reason to why Bleach is called Bleach although there are a few theories put forward. The First being that when Japanese people bleach their hair occasionally it doesn't go so well and goes Orange rather than Blonde. Ichigo is attacked in one manga chapter by a guy claiming Ichigo stole his hair style (In fact the guy bleached his hair, Ichigo just had his normal hair). The third being that the Shinigami "Bleach" the souls of the hollows and spirits sending them to the afterlife, cleansing them.

Bleach is called Bleach because of

1) Ichigo's Hair

2) Shinigami bleach the souls of the hollows and spirts.

3) Kaien's soul was bleached by Rukia's zanpaktou to be reborn as Ichigo.

4) Rukia's clothes were bleached from black to white when Ichigo stole her power.

5) Some theorize that Tite Kubo is a huge Nirvana fan...hence the name Bleach (I believe one of their albums was called Bleach in the past)
~ This isn't just a guess. Kubo Tite said in an interview that he is a Nirvana fan. ~

Me too~! Maybe because everyone thinks Ichigo bleached his hair or something.

Because they cleanse the hollows like bleach cleanses clothes.
