In Need of some Cosplay Direction.....?!
Question: Metrocon is coming up in a while, and I was wondering where I can have a costume made.
I've checked many cosplay websites and non of them sell the outfit I seek.
Does anyone know of anyone who makes costumes, or can at least direct me to someone who can?

Ah! I was going to go to Metrocon, but I just can't afford the cross country trip this year. I hope you enjoy yourself!
Firstly, most cosplay websites accept requests. The problem with these websites, however, is that they are often based in China or somewhere else in Asia and although they often sell high quality costumes they tend to have bad English, and so therefore it can be hard to communicate with them.

They both have good reputations.
Also, have you tried Ebay? Ebay is loaded with cosplay costumes. Be sure to not only do an auction search but an Ebay store search as well to increase your chances of finding what you are looking for. My favorite Ebay cosplay seller is honestdragonchina. That is their screen name; they have thousands of costumes so you should go see if they have the one you are looking for.
Another website I would recommend is this website:

It is run by two girls who are very well known in the cosplaying world. Their costumes also tend to be very high quality as well. They are a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for.
Also, you should become a member of www.cosplay.com. They have a marketplace where people who do "commissions", or make costumes for people by request, that post in the marketplace. They also have a forum for people to rate commissioners so you can figure out who is the best one for your costume.
