Renji Abarai questions?!
Question: -After the fight with Byakuya does Renji get his ability back to use bankai someday?
-How come Zabimaru doesn't look like a monkey in bankai?
-Don't you think Renji did pretty darn good his first time using bankai considering it's supposed to take years to accomplish? He got all beat up but he definitely reached Byakuya.
-When/ how did Renji get the tribal tattoos? (there's also that one kid who looks up to him..who has one on his own eyebrow)

2. why it does not look like a monkey because zabimaru means snake tail and hihio zabimaru means baboon king snake tail, the names put more emphasis on the snake rather than the baboon.
3.yes for normal shinigami standards and no because it was ichigo's first time to but he had help with things like uraharu's training method and ichigo's hollowfication so its kind of unclear of weather renji did OK because there are no other normal shinigami bankai release comparison. I think he did good
4.How he got these tattoos is unknown, but it appears that with every achievement Renji attains, his tattoos increase as well, starting from his early days as a shinigami candidate until when he was Byakuya Kuchiki's lieutenant(his tattoos now cover his entire back)as for Rikichi(renji's admirer) it's kind of a full circle kind of thing. you know renji admired byakuya and now rikichi admires renji and probably will do think same thing that renji did with byakuya or not

he sucked at using his bankai tho he will be able to use it and hone his skills to master it... the bankai represets the tail of zabimaru...(his tail is a snake) renji represents the monkey(like it or not!)... dont worry he gets better at using his bankia!
I'm sure that as long as a person is still living that they will be able to use bankai once they have achieved it, especially since I believe that in the manga they have shown him using it recently.
Who knows? I guess since Zabimaru is a majority baboon in shikai, in bankai he switches to mostly snake?
I believe he probably got them the closer he got to mastering his zanpakuto
PS: that is an awesome cosplay...thank god for friends who are willing help out right:)
He used it against the Espada when fighting with the Quincy dude. The Espada simply disabled it within that room, but he's used it too much actually. The show uses Renji's, Ice Dragon Dude, Ichigo, too much. They have missing capt. positions and only 3 vice captains have shown their bankai, the guy who makes weight double, the guy with eye paint, and ikkaku.

> we still don't know yet.. I'm guessing that since he lives in a wild area of Rukongai and he was once a wild child so the tattoo might happen then..yeah that kid-he only appears once in the anime/manga i think lol
