Clannad story ends on episode 22 ?!

Question: i was wondering if the story ends on episode 22, becous after that there is only a 'extra' episode and a OVA.
i wouldn't want to start watching now and then having to wait a week to see the end :)

The story somewhat ends on episode 22 with *Spoiler Warning* Tomoya confessing his feelings to Nagisa.

Then an extra episode (Episode 23/Extra episode) on March27, 2008 then an OVA which will not be released on a DVD format until July 16, 2008.
