Good question. I don't see why Mothra would worry about logic and scientific explanations, since she has never done that before and, if I recall correctly, Mothra has shown an ability to fly through outer space, so I don't think she would have any trouble flying in a methan atmosphere. However, we should take into consideration the Tiny, Tiny Twins (played on film by that great Japanese singing duo from the sixties, the Peanuts) and their reaction to a methane atmosphere, which I suspect wouldn't be positive. So, to recap, I believe Mothra could fly in a methane atmosphere, but without the Tiny, Tiny Twins to sing the "Mothra, Come Here Quick, Please with a Big Old Sock on Top" song, what would be the point? A few minutes jaunt into a methane atmosphere would be alright, but not an extended scene that would handicap the Tiny, Tiny Twins.

I think one of the planets in our solar system has methane SEAS, but then again, I got my information from a Jimi Hendrix song. Funny, my wife and I were talking about Mothra for some reason yesterday.
